Freesat launched in 2007 and works in a similar way to Freeview but the signal is received using a satellite dish rather than a conventional TV aerial. There are over 200 TV and radio channels including an increasing number of HD stations available on Freesat which is Britains only totally subscription free satellite service. To watch Freesat you will need either a Freesat box or a TV with an inbuilt Freesat tuner. There’s a great choice of boxes on the market which offer a range of features;

o Freesat+HD: Over 200 channels and an inbuilt hard drive recorder to pause and rewind live TV
